A couple of weekends ago we got a flurry of free tickets to baseball games. We went to a few Texas Rangers and Frisco Roughriders games when we lived in Texas but none so far in Cali until now. And none when the boys might really be aware of their surroundings. Friday night we got tickets from our cousins to the Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox. Especially because the stadium is approximately 2 minutes away from our house were we excited to go. The Gold Sox are a team made up of college baseball players from around the country, possibly states near Ca, we aren't sure and we didn't spend the dollar to buy a program to find out, but they have a brand new small stadium and it was actually really fun. Real hometown-y atmosphere. (later we found out 1 of the pitchers is from BYU so that's cool) They lost, but we still had a great time, except for poor Brooke who was up way past her bedtime and had thrown up all over herself after choking on a cracker, and we only had 2 wipes left so she reeked of puke for most of the game. After the game they let kids under 14 run the bases so that is pretty exciting. The picture just gives you an idea of the fun. Sam is the kid in the red shirt in the upper middle of the picture. Jake was running so fast I couldn't find him and get a
pic.
Brooke before the game :)

Then Monday night we had free tickets to the Sacramento Rivercats. They are a triple-A feeder team for the Oakland A's. A bigger stadium, players you might see some day in MLB, lots o' fun! We left Brookie with Grandma so she could go to bed on time. We had really good seats just past 3rd base and almost got hit by foul balls at least 3 times. The boys got really overpriced cotton candy and it was also Oreo cookie night sooo free cookies! BONUS! We left between the 5th & 6th innings with the 'Cats down by 5 but will be back for sure! A great time had by all!
