{Sam is 7}

It was a Sunday bday and we had just driven home from California the day before so it was a little less planned than usual, but he didn't seem to mind the "Backyardigans" cupcakes :)
We had a party for him and all the other January bdays at Grandma's house the day before we left cali too so it was A-OK
Happy Birthday Buddy!

T-Ball

He was very excited and it was fun watching him play another sport other than Soccer. The team was made up of almost his whole soccer team and coached by our next door neighbor TJ. We are never going to be able to move away from this neighborhood or else Sam will have to make all new friends AND teammates.

Winter Treats
Since the snow is never going away, Sam and Brooke decided to go out and tromp around in it...
and eat snow,
and try snow angels...
and eat snow...
this girl's BIRTHDAY is tomorrow,
so get ready for PINK overload!
PS- did you know that the STEPHEN'S French Vanilla hot chocolate is WHITE?
It was news to me!

Tubing at Gorgoza Park
Jim took the boys to Gorgoza Park for a fun day of tubing. I took the babies and went shopping at the outlets at Park City which was just up the road. That is my kind of snow fun! A fun day in the snow for all, for sure! Gorgoza Park is really cool, they have 6 or 7 lanes to tube down and a tow rope back up to the top of the hill. No real exercise involved except for the heart pounding excitement of the downhill racing. Jim says the "kids" lanes are not scary at all, no real threat of accident, barely "catching air", Jake and Sam loved it! They bought the 2 hr ticket and the kids wanted more!

A Cautionary Tale and A Birthday Rat
As per the usual request, we celebrated Sam's 5th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. This particular restaurant seemed to be wilder and rowdier than usual, especially for a Thursday night, but we continued on. Sam didn't want a cake this year, so we stuck candles in the rainbow sherbet and used up about a ton of tokens on games. We ordered pizza and salad bar but the boys were too excited to eat any of it. Brooke was in a non-smiling for pictures mood but she had a lot of fun on the horsey carousel. Jim took the pictures so he's not in any of them. :)
Good times!
Jake was a little less than thrilled about the pink horse :)
Unfortunately I should have known better about a salad bar in a place like that and had food poisoning for the next 5 days. And poor Max, I informed him at 3 am while we were hanging out around the toilet together that he will not be having any birthday parties with Chuck!
