1st trip to the dentist

August was the first trip to the dentist for Brooke, Max and Jake. I know what you're thinking, and yes I'm a bad mother when it comes to dental health. Just ask Sam who had to undergo surgery to have a tooth removed and a bunch of work done. Poor kid! You would think after all that he would want to brush his teeth, but no, still it's a big fight. Anywho.... Brooke and Max had no cavities and Jake had about 10, sooo I guess we will try harder.

Last Day of School

That's right! It's officially Summer Vacation at our house! I don't know who's more excited Jake or me. No alarm clocks for 2 and a half months is making me very happy. Now if I can just fill up our days with fun and frolic and keep the I'm Bored Monster out of here.

Tooth Fairy Strikes 3

Jake lost his 3rd bottom tooth on Thursday. Another tooth, another buck!

Tooth Fairy Strikes AGAIN!

Jake lost his 2nd bottom tooth Friday @ school. We knew it would come out that day since the tooth was just hanging there and the new one was half way in already :) Kinda gross. He didn't want us to yank it for him, I tried but couldn't get my fingers on it tight enough. Oh well, it's out and the tooth fairy left a dollar. I guess that's what really matters to a 6 yr old boy :)

Jake's VERY eventful weekend

Last Friday Jake turned 6! He had to go to school so the festivities couldn't start until later in the day. We took cupcakes and balloons to his class and made him very popular with goody bags for all. Then we came home from school and he got to open little presents like new swim goggles. (Sam got some too)

That night was my cousins wedding so we went to that and then Jake, Sam, Jim and my Dad went on the Father and Son campout with my dad's ward. They had a great time and Jake and Sam even caught their first fishes. (no pictures of that yet)

Monday we went to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday party. It's the 3rd time in 6 years of parties that we have gone there. He loves that place! Chuck E Cheese is not as popular of a place on Memorial Day so it was nice and quiet compared to the mad house it usually is. :) Everyone had lots of fun. Even Brooke, until I tried to put her on the ride that takes your picture with Chuck. She completely freaked out when it started talking to her. Poor Baby! She really loved the carousel though.

On the way home Jake was eating Skittles, part of a present from his cousins, (thanks Aunt Gena!) and they pulled his loose tooth out! He lost his first tooth!

All in all, a very fun and exciting weekend of 1st's, 3rd's and 6's! :) We love you Jake!
