Don't call it a comeback... I've been here for years

OK !

So I know I took a break for a little {2 month} while.... but now we're back to our regularly scheduled program already in progress!

I like to blame it on not having anything really to blog about, not taking any pictures of anything, being busy... a slight facebook addiction, and needing lots of time to contemplate my life and my next hair color event...

but now I'm back and it's warm weather outside so spray painting junk can resume!!!

I have a couple of projects I'm working on...

and my new babies...

this 1...
which is beyond cool, that I just set up to do mobile blogging with...

and this 1...
who just looks new with his new big boy haircut...

seriously he is the cutest baby!

and I keep catching myself doing double takes because I'm not used to his haircut!

{So thanks everyone for your concern... no I am most definitely NOT pregnant Lisa!! just get ready for a myriad of new pics and fun stuff!}

{ps. anyone know the song I quoted in the title? I seem to have re-embraced my attraction to hip-hop, while in California last month... Don't Worry though,it's probably just a phase! }

Ophir-Tintic Railroad Model Train Show

{Hogwarts/Quidditch out of LEGOs}

{If you look real close you can see a black LEGO train in the upper middle of the pic}

{The main Hogwarts replica}

{ Jake got to try being an engineer}

{the babies were cranky through most of it and couldn't get down and run around=no fun}

{Lagoon replica in Lego}

{CHEESE}

It's been a while since I last posted. So in the interest of full disclosure, basically, I thought I could keep up with blogging and my new found problem, Facebook, but I think I just got a little over excited about it. Now I have found a balance, and that is a whole other post that I wrote out but am not going to publish.
Then there was the HAIR CRISIS of 2009 and that was pretty consuming for a week or so... sorry no pictures of that mess, let's just say I am trying to commit to not doing my own hair color or hi-lites anymore but we'll have to see in 4-6 weeks if I can really keep that promise...

So, a couple weeks back we went to a model train show at Thanksgiving Point. The advertising was all about how exciting the "famous Hogwarts train" was and I must admit it was pretty cool, but can I just say,
the whole place was a GIANT NERD FEST!!
or at least many, many boys and men who have never had a date or ever will.

OK maybe that is a little harsh, but it was just the scent in the air.
Anyway, the trains sparked an interest in Jake but not really something we will probably pursue. You could tell tons of date night funds were spent elsewhere. Like on the whole city that must accompany the train to travel through around and around again. I guess I didn't get many pictures of actual trains, they were speeding around the tracks pretty fast and my camera doesn't do fast, but you get the idea.

Turducken or Tofurkey, Hardly a Choice

{image from yee design.com}
OR

So we haven't quite decided the T-day menu but it will not be including any of the above meat(less) products. We thought about deep frying a turkey but that is turning out to be a lot more expensive than we wanted to go. Gotta save money for pie! :)

Here are a couple of Thanksgiving vinyls from the website.

After Turkey Day I am starting a new blog to advertise the website, you remember the website right?

Trendycrafts.net

and there will be a sale or discount or giveaway or some thing...

so tell your friends!

{I'm starting a new blog because it seems a little weird to me to keep advertising only to 3 friends and my mom who read this blog. and it's another good reason to blog!

like I need another reason :)}

OK so it's wednesday and I haven't made it to the basement yet... I will blame sick kids and their gift of spreading it around to me as well. I did get my kitchen counter cleared off finally... again. I hate it when the junk, and mail, and odds and ends pile up there. Clutter is a pain!
I finally got my new vinyl project done though and man is it cute!! I think I am going to make 1 for each holiday and then probably attach a ribbon and hang it from a wreath hanger. As soon as we get our website back up to par I will most likely offer them there as well. I have been reading a lot of blogs lately of girls who make and sell stuff and they are not afraid to post about what they sell so why should I? Yeah I'm freak I know! If I want to sell it I need to advertise it right? So, I am here for you and all your vinyl needs and wants... within reason ;)

A cute, cheap gift

The boys went to a birthday party and this is the gift I came up with. Believe me! I surprised myself with how cute I think it turned out :) I got the idea from this post by the Nester, whose blog I LOVE!It's just a few things from the dollar store with a cute homemade tag. I'm sure the 4 yr old recipient could care less, but like I told Jim, I just want his mom to think I'm cool and crafty :)
