January 17th Brooke turned 4!!

{these pics are out of order and that's just really sad}

She wanted cupcakes and who am I to deny my favorite girl??

Whenever I ask her to smile, she gives me this "bulldog" grin...
the dentist said she might grow out of it ;)

There was also brownies and ice cream, and sweet pork tacos....
mmmmmm so yummy!
My mouth is watering just thinking about them again :)

modeling a hairclip bday present....
she hasn't worn it since....

Happy Birthday to our beautiful girl!!!

{Year End wrap-up ..OR.. I'm tired of playing catch-up!..OR..Totally Random stuff}

She say's she wants to be a wrestler when she's a big girl!

*another way I justify taking my iphone to church*
I am the assistant ward organist at church now and I haven't really played the organ for about 20 years so I take pictures of the settings I think sound right cuz I don't know how the memory buttons work and I don't play every week and I forget :)

~
No Pictures, but we had a fun family Thanksgiving with Jim's brother-in-law's family.
We had way too much Thanksgiving dinner though!
I think we will have a different meat this year....I'm still kind of sick of turkey.

~

For my birthday I got fancy cupcakes, which I LOVE, which seem to be the trend right now.
Cupcake/Bake shops popping up all along the Wasatch Front.

These were from the Sweet Tooth Fairy in Provo. YUMMY!

~

No pictures from Christmas but let's just say, the kids got everything they wanted and more and at this moment they are all basically grounded from all their gifts or could care less about stuff that was the most important thing a month ago. We spent just a little more than we had budgeted so that is progress, but I always feel the desire to return everything around the middle of January :) *Note to self!!! Less IS More!!!!!

~

The day after Christmas I drove the kids out to Cali to visit the farm and the fam. It was cooold out there! but no snow!! That's important :) It was a fun trip but I think I've had my fill of California for a little while again.

~

Finally!!! Happy NEW Year!!!

Next up! 2010!

{skate or die dude!}

Their new favorite way to go in the street is to sit on the skateboards and ride down the slight incline of the driveway.
{At least they have their helmets on!}

1st Day of Nursery

R baby is growing up.
Today was his 1st day of Nursery and he did great!
{Our ward switched back to 9 am church from 1 o'clock so it's kind of a big difference to have so much free time on Sunday. What to do all afternoon!}
{A little leftover birthday cake on a knife to celebrate freedom at church.}
He is in the same class as Brooke so that may have helped, and Brooke is out of the class with the teacher that called her "Brooks" all last year so we are all happy!
Check out those eyelashes!
{Today he's mom's favorite!}

PS if you thought that was a ghost in the picture you are not alone. So did Brooke.

Brookie's in Stitches and NOT in a good way

Last night was our first trip to the urgent care with Brooke. What a treat! A treat I never want to have again! She fell and hit her head on the edge of a bookcase, cubby type thing we HAD behind the couch. It's not there anymore. You know what they say about head wounds and lots and lots of blood?? It's all true. I had to sit down for a minute.

Long story short, she was bouncing around and acting fine when we got to the urgent care, we were the only ones there and we still had to wait... they wrapped her up in a blanket so she couldn't move which doesn't really help with the soothing and we got our first experience with stitches. She got 6 and seems to be just fine if not just a little more cranky,

{she's usually cranky}

{not touching it}

Luckily it's right in her eyebrow so most likely a scar will not show, since were all about our looks around here. Unluckily it's right in her eyebrow so they had to do stitches instead of glue because of the eyebrow hair. Luckily, stitches are not supposed to leave a scar.

Who wants to discuss the pros and cons of eyebrows?
PS.. come back later for
1. a better pic of Brooke
2. a shout out to our favorite word art designer
3. our redesigned website
4. great christmas gift ideas in vinyl
